Microlab-25 strokes
My goals for this piece were to create a painting in 25 strokes or less. I used a bigger brush to pick up a lot of paint and blend the colors together. My painting is about seeing colors and shapes still, but this time blending them together to create a realistic painting. I was surprised by how easy and quick I did this. I thought it would've been harder. The most difficult thing was creating the darker white and lighter white and making them blend together. Some things that I have learned is to not focus on the detail and just focus on the big picture. It also helped me see colors and taught me to blend better. If I had to do a do-over I think I would focus more on making it neater and more realistic. I feel like the blending of the greens is really good and the colors are close to what it looks like in real life.
Microlab- Don't Touch the Edges
My goals for this artwork were to create a painting where each color didn't touch one another. I was trying to learn to see shapes through color. I used a pallet knife to paint and made sure a thin line was between every color. My painting was about creating shapes through color to make an abstract- looking painting. It surprised me how on the next painting I did, it was easy to see the different colors and shapes they created. The most difficult thing was seeing the darker shadows towards the bottom of the ball because I couldn't make the right color. Mr. Gaudreau helped me see the brownish color that was on the bottom of the ball. If i had a do-over I don't think I would do anything different because I'm pretty happy with how the painting turned out. Maybe I would make my lines neater because in some areas they have paint going through them. I feel like the colors are really good and the texture I created is really cool.

Painting With Peggi
1. I have learned how to paint quickly and efficiently with a big brush.
2. I have learned color mixing and painting quickly with a big brush in order to make it like shapes of color instead of blending the colors together.
3. "Mapping" is when we sketch out the painting and then creating shapes where different colors or shadows should go.
4. I didn't know that painting with the same sized brush which was bigger than I'm bigger would be a lot easier to use than a smaller brush for details. I also learned how to properly mix colors and create shapes for shadows instead of blending everything together to create shadows.
5. An idea Mr. Gaudreau was trying to teach us was the proper way to color mix, and how to create the right color. He also taught us how to create shadows as well.
6. An artistic idea I remember Mr. Gaudreau taught me was how to properly hold the paint brush to get more efficient painting strokes and it helped me paint quicker.
7. Some ideas to take away from the video was to not be afraid of making a mistake while painting quickly because you can always go back over and fix it and to also not be afraid to layer up paints, even if the first layer is still wet.
8. Line was used when mapping out where each color would go and it also helped me map out the chairs. Color was used to make the painting vibrant and add more contrast. Shape was used to map out the colors and shadows of everything. Texture was used to create the trees and bushes. Value was used to find the right colors that Peggi used.
9. Painterly means being able to see each individual color and paint stroke. The painting itself isn't blended that well and was done in a quick style.
10. One thing I learned that I'll use in my next painting is looking for colors in shadows and color mixing.
